Pit firing is a bit unpredictable, but this piece picked up a lot of smoky colour and deep rusty oranges that make it pretty special. Once it’s been polished with beeswax, the smooth surface almost doesn’t look or feel like ceramic at all

Big bowl with some cool glaze variation
Not at the beach but at least you can see the sea & sand ripples from the bottom of your bowl. This bottom got some little ghosting marks from the kiln shelf, I love it when little unexpected magic like this happens 〰️〰️〰️
Wild clay slip on terracotta. Nice to get some tonal depth as well as brush strokes that sit well into the form of this little dish
