A body of work which explores the journey that one of Megan’s materials, Cornish clay, goes through before reaching her. China Clay deposits in Cornwall are formed through the breakdown of granite, and its production and industrial mining has shaped the physical, economic, and cultural Cornish landscape. Granite rockscapes feature in her paintings, and her Cornish clay ceramics are a continuation of the rock cycle, with the broken-down granite forming a solid ‘rock’ once more.
